EncountersReview & Edit

Review & Edit

Open any encounter to see the transcript and SOAP note side by side. This is where you’ll spend most of your time in Noctune.

Transcript and audio

The transcript is segmented by speaker turn with timestamps. Click any segment to jump the audio player to that moment — useful for double-checking a dosage or a breed name that the AI got wrong.

Editing the SOAP note

The SOAP editor is free-form — edit anything you want. Section headers (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) render as markdown.

Regenerate

Not happy with the draft? Click Regenerate to produce a new version from the same transcript. You can optionally switch templates before regenerating.

Heads up: Regenerating replaces the current note. Copy anything you want to keep first.

Append audio

If the visit continued after you stopped recording, use Append Audio to add more audio to the same encounter. The transcript extends and the SOAP note is regenerated from the full recording.

Exporting

When the note is final:

  • Copy — copies to clipboard for pasting into your PIMS
  • Email discharge notes — a client-safe version sent to the pet owner
  • Email to yourself — the full SOAP, dropped in your inbox for mobile reference
